Community Investment
The City of Albany, NY sought to equitably and transparently provide $25 million in American Rescue Plan funding to local organizations doing work around education, housing, health care, and other priority topics. TCCG worked with partner consultants, City leaders, and community experts to design and conduct a process to solicit/review more than 140 project proposals. This helped the City's leaders identify the most impactful projects and maximize the benefit of its investments in Albany's families and communities.
Infrastructure Improvement
The City of New Orleans, LA was seeking options for funding the extensive repairs needed for its streets and other roadway infrastructure. TCCG worked with a partner consulting firm to identify steps the City could take based on its existing resources and the additional funding sources it could develop. Informed by analysis and in-depth market research, the team presented the City's leadership with a set of revenue options that would generate an estimated $4.3 billion in new funding over a 30-year period.
Calcasieu Parish (County) Schools Career Pipeline Initiative
Career Pipeline Initiative
The Calcasieu Parish (County) School Board and City of Lake Charles, LA sought to strengthen the career pipeline for the area's youth. The goal was to ensure that they had access to careers in high-growth industries, which were expected to bring more than $60 billion in investments to the region over the next several years. TCCG worked with a partner firm to identify the gaps in the current pipeline as well as steps that could be taken to improve participation by underrepresented groups.

NOLA Public Schools (NOLA-PS) sought to develop a snapshot of the district's strategic priorities as outlined by the NOLA-PS' leadership, staff, partners, and the community; it also sought steps the district could take to make progress on these priorities. TCCG led a team of four consulting firms in conducting extensive internal and external stakeholder outreach, analysis of findings, and development of action steps. The School Board used the output of the high-profile, public process in the national search for the district's superintendent and as the foundation for NOLA-PS' five-year strategic plan

Budget Analysis
The City of Petersburg, VA sought to identify actions it could take to balance its annual operating budget. TCCG worked as part of a consulting team that engaged with City leaders and staff to understand the main drivers of the City's revenues and expenses. The team then developed a plan of action that would produce an estimated $28 million in new revenue/savings over a two-year period. The effort would lay the foundation for the City's long-term financial future and the services it could provide to its residents.

Orleans Parish (County), LA Sheriff-Elect Susan Hutson's Transition Team sought support in identifying strategic, operational, and policy improvements for the Orleans Justice Center (OJC). TCCG worked with a partner firm to perform a study of OJC's current policies and procedures and make recommendations for improvements; this involved facilitating multiple working groups composed of subject matter experts and community leaders, performing a detailed analysis of the findings, and conducting best practice research. The Sheriff would later use the project's output as the roadmap for her term in office.

The City of Houston was looking to create a ten-year strategic plan for managing its multi-billion dollar annual operating budget. TCCG worked as part of a consulting team that engaged with City leaders and performed a detailed analysis of the City's operations and allocations; the team also conducted extensive research on operational best practices in other large cities across the country. The result of the project was a comprehensive plan that would support Houston in ensuring its long-term fiscal sustainability and economic growth.

Grant Management
The Greater New Orleans Funders Network (GNOFN) sought support in coordinating philanthropic investments in climate/environmental justice and criminal justice in Southeast Louisiana. TCCG coordinated the planning and implementation efforts of ten foundations in making more than three dozen high-impact grants to organizations doing vital work in region. The unprecedented collaborative effort included national organizations such as the Ford, Kresge, Surdna, and Mertz Gilmore Foundations as well as local philanthropies such as the Greater New Orleans Foundation and Foundation for Louisiana.

New Orleans Mayor-Elect LaToya Cantrell's Transition Team was seeking support in developing a comprehensive strategic and operational approach to the Mayor-Elect's priority issues. TCCG led a team of more than 200 consultants, staff, and volunteers, which involved coordinating the efforts of nearly 30 committees and working groups. The city-wide effort featured complex data analysis, organizational and operational assessments, and project management. The Mayor used the output of the project as the foundation for an array of innovative changes that would improve the city's operations and the lives of the city's residents.

TCCG is currently working with a partner consulting firm to perform an in-depth analysis of the utility's structure, policies, and procedures to identify ways that SWBNO can enhance the impact of its workforce and strengthen its overall effectiveness.

The Sankofa Community Development Corporation was seeking assistance with developing a financial model for its 40-acre Wetland Park. TCCG led a team of consultants that facilitated a series of community meetings to determine the amenities that residents desired in the new park. Using this information, TCCG then developed a funding model that outlined the existing sources of funding as well as identified areas where additional capital was needed. The project ultimately provided the foundation for the fundraising efforts that led to the successful establishment of this important community asset.

The New Orleans Public Belt Railroad (NOPB) sought support in performing an operational cost assessment for some of its key functions as well as developing a five-year strategic plan. TCCG conducted an in-depth analysis of NOPB's operations and engaged with NOPB's senior leadership by organizing an executive retreat and other activities to solicit their input. TCCG then worked with the leadership to develop a detailed action plan and implementation timeline that would help guide the railroad through the next half decade.
